Nicola Barlow

Nicola's education in Nursing, Diabetes Education and as a Nurse Practicioner has been through James Cook University, Curtain University and Queensland University of Technology. What's important for Nicola is that all people with Diabetes receive expert knowledge to ensure they understand the disease process and have a greater awareness of their condition. Diabetes is largely a 'self-care' disease, which means that most of the time 'you' are in the driver's seat and in charge of the many day-to-day decisions needed for optimal health. That's a lot of pressure! One of the most important tools Nicola provides is education; education, knowledge and empowerment along with ongoing care and support, so together we can get to where you need to be.
